    we wanted to take our 4 year old to a princess meal at cinderella's castle but there is only availability at akershus. as far as looks, characters and amenities, what is the difference in the two locations ?

    Susan,

    There is no doubt that the location and ambiance at Cinderella's Royal Table is a pretty spectacular experience. But here are a few reasons why we, and many others, are more than glad to 'substitute' the experience over at Akershus;

    • Lower cost. Akershus costs less. Saving some money on a Disney trip is never a bad thing
    • Same Princesses, or more. While the princesses that visit you at Akershus changes from time to time, you get at least as many as at Cinderella's Royal Table, and you usually get more variety.
    • Comparable Food: While the food has gotten better at Cinderella's Royal Table, I still have not had a bad meal at Akershus. Food-wise they are about on par with each other.
    • Princess Interaction. While both have table side visits, they seem to do more at Akershus. There is a parade that is very fun, and let's the kids get in on the act.
    BOTTOM LINE: Both are great. If you can't get into one, go to the other, and never think that you might have missed out on something.

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
