We wanted to visit Wilderness Lodge and specifically have lunch at Roaring Forks (my daughter loves the chicken and waffles) on a day that we will not be staying on Disney property. If we take an Uber to the hotel, will we be allowed past the gate?

    Hi Carol,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

I'm so happy to tell you that the answer to your question is absolutely, yes.  You can get past the gate for an Advance Dining Reservation.  I recommend linking your reservation to your My Disney Experience account; then when you arrive at the gate, you can allow the guard to scan your MagicBand to access your reservation.  They will then let you right through with no problems.  If you don't have a MagicBand, you can use an Admission Card instead to access your reservation.

I am a Florida local and frequently just drive to the Walt Disney World Resort for a day visit; we go home in the evening.  We make and enjoy dining reservations without a resort reservation all the time without any problems at all.

Carol, I hope your daughter enjoys her chicken and waffles (sounds delicious-I need to make my own Advance Dining Reservation to try it)!  Please come by and visit us again with any additional vacation planning questions.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
