Hi Brenda! Welcome to planDisney.
I celebrated a milestone birthday with a stay in a Garden Wing room at
Disney's Contemporary Resort a few years ago, and my family loved it! I loved walking outside by Bay Lake, seeing the sandy beach, and also watching the monorail zoom into the main tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. It's iconic Walt Disney World!
Just like you, my husband travels with his own coffee. He's a man who knows what he likes, and we almost always have a pour-over coffee maker in our bag when we vacation. Coffee beans are basically pixie dust, and they are the magical fuel for theme park fun!
Brenda, here's the scoop. When I visited in 2018, there was a Cuisinart coffee maker in our room. These machines are a special pod-based system; you will find round pods filled with Joffrey's brand coffee that you place into the machine before brewing. They're basically a teabag filled with coffee. Having said that, my dear friend and fellow panelist Tabitha had a Keurig in her room at the same resort earlier this year. So, unfortunately, I can't guarantee which kind of machine you'll have in your room. I have never seen a regular drip coffee maker in a standard Walt Disney World Hotel room.
I'm also very happy to report that you will find coffee throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Joffrey's Coffee & Tea stands are in all four theme parks, and there is a Starbucks in each theme park as well. I love a magical Starbucks in a Disney Parks cup when I'm in the Disney Parks!
Brenda, I'm raising my Walt Disney World mug in a cheers to your upcoming visit. Be sure to read the
Disney Parks Blog as you count down the days to your visit, and please come back and see us if you have any further questions as you count down the days.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
