Ahoy, Emily! Thanks so much for sailing by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you have a spook-tacular
Halloween on the High Seas adventure coming up...how exciting!
A Disney Cruise is already full of ways to unwind, but booking a little self-care at
Senses Spa & Salon can take your relaxation to the next level. Once your cruise is paid in full and your onboard booking window opens (based on your Castaway Club status), you can reserve spa services right through the Disney Cruise Line website or Navigator app.
I’ve personally treated myself to the Fire & Ice manicure and pedicure, and I really enjoyed it! You’ll be able to choose your polish color during your appointment, and you can pick between regular polish or Shellac. Shellac is a gel-hybrid polish by CND that dries quickly and lasts longer; there’s a small upcharge for it, but I think it’s worth it if you want lasting results. The service itself utilizes warm stones, oils, scrubs, and a relaxing hand or leg massage. If you enjoy being pampered, you’ll love it.
That said, while I’ve enjoyed my onboard mani-pedis, I’ve found that they’re pretty comparable to what I can get at home. Lately, I’ve opted to get my nails done before I sail and then treat myself instead to a Rainforest Room pass. This is a unique-to-Disney experience inside Senses Spa, with heated stone loungers, soothing aromatherapy showers, and a tranquil atmosphere. You can purchase a Length of Cruise pass ahead of time (once your activity booking window opens), or you can ask about 1-Day passes once you board. It’s one of my favorite indulgences and something I can’t replicate anywhere else!
And if you’re looking for other spa experiences, I once got a haircut on the Disney Fantasy that turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever had, and it was completely unplanned! The stylist was so kind, and the whole experience was a happy surprise. I’ve also really enjoyed the ELEMIS facials onboard.
Wishing you all the pampering on your upcoming voyage, Emily! We’re always here if you have more questions as your sailing gets closer.
