I wanted to plan a trip for December 2024 for my family of 11. I have 4 children and 7 adults.

Hi there, Celia! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. We're happy you're here!

There's nothing better than a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of year! When it comes to planning a trip during a holiday season with a large group, the key is to book early and thoughtfully. I'd love to help you make just the right reservations for your travel party!

    • First, decide on how many rooms you're going to need. While some Deluxe Villas can house large groups (such as the 3 Bedroom Grand Villa - Savanna View at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village), I think your group will have the most comfortability in booking a few connecting rooms. Are you looking for a Family Suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, or something a little more deluxe such as Disney's Wilderness Lodge? Take a look at the Disney Resort hotels available to help you decide which one you'd like to call "home" on your upcoming trip! You can even click "Room Rates" and scroll down to see how many Guests will fit in each of the room categories.
    • Once you've decided how many rooms you'd like, with how many Guests in each room, head to the main Walt Disney World Resort page! Here, you'll be able to enter your desired dates, the number of Guests in your first room, and the Disney Resorts Collection hotel you'd like to stay in. Follow the prompts to finalize your first reservation, including selecting the type and number of tickets you'd like to purchase. Then, complete the process for your next room! On the final booking page, you'll be able to click "Change" under "Room and Amenity Requests" and request a connecting door with the first reservation.
    • If you begin this process but need a little more assistance, my best piece of advice would be to call a friendly Cast Member to help book your reservation! Have as much information as possible, such as your desired dates and Disney Resorts Collection hotel. This will be a great jumping-off point for the Cast Member to help guide you as you make your reservation!
Once you have your reservation made, please visit us again! We're happy to help you with all parts of planning, from your advance dining reservations to navigating the My Disney Experience app. It's our joy to share our best tips and personal advice to help make your vacation the best trip ever!

    Wishing you the very merriest,
    Michelle
