Hello, I wanted to know if you guys are offering military discounted tickets and if that can be applied once we purchase tickets online? Also I have a question about the reservations and what it means online when it says “starting park”?

Hi there, Sabrina! Welcome to planDisney.

Mine is also a military family, and I would like to thank you for your service on behalf of my family and my fellow planDisney panelists. Visiting a Disney destination is my family's absolute favorite way to get some R&R and some together time, and I'm so happy to hear you're heading to the Disneyland Resort.

At this time, military discounts have not been announced for 2021 at the Disneyland Resort. We're eagerly awaiting news, and I recommend following the Disney Parks Blog for updates (they also share fun stories about new attractions, treats, and Cast Member magic in the parks - totally worth a follow!). You might be able to find 2020 Military Salute tickets at a base ticket office, but I've heard there is a very limited supply of those tickets, so call ahead to your MWR/ITT if you'd like to see what they have in stock. The 2020 Military Salute tickets have been extended through December 16, 2021. Disneyland Resort military tickets may not be purchased online or applied to an existing ticket purchase, as ticket purchases are non-refundable. If you would like to speak to a Cast Member about your current tickets, please call (714) 781-4636.

You will need a Theme Park Reservation for each Guest in your party (ages 3 and older) for each day of your visit. On the Theme Park Reservation availability calendar, "starting park" refers to those with Park Hopper tickets - with those tickets, you may "hop" to the other theme park when Park Hopper Hours begin (that time is noted on the Park Hours). The starting park is the theme park where you begin your day - so, if your reservation is for Disney California Adventure Park, you would start your day there, and then be able to hop over to Disneyland Park at the allowed time (note that you must visit the starting park before park hopping). My family loves the Park Hopper option because it gives us flexibility and doubles the fun!

Thanks for stopping by today with your questions, Sabrina! Here at planDisney, we are here to help with all your planning questions, so please come back and see us if you think of anything else as you count down to your magical visit!

Wishing you a great big beautiful tomorrow,
    Robyn
