I wanted to know if I have already made a droid another visit before could I bring it back. To enjoy the experience of having it with me again another time?

Bright Suns, Jeffrey! I am so glad you found us here at planDisney to ask your question.

Back in 2019, I was fortunate enough to be at opening day of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The sights and sounds were so incredible, and I felt totally immersed in all things Star Wars.

On the final day of our trip, I decided that I needed to visit the Droid Depot and build an R2 unit. I carefully chose the pieces and put him together. (His name is R2QT, in case you were wondering.) I proudly carried him out of the park, stopping at the PhotoPass photographer on Hollywood Boulevard and he took some great photos of R2QT and I together, and even some of him all by himself!

Since I built R2QT on my final vacation day, I didn’t really get to explore Batuu with him. So, when I returned to Walt Disney World a couple months later, I brought him with me! We went through airport security together, he sat under the seat in front of me on the plane, and I carried him in his backpack into Disney’s Hollywood Studios with no issues.

So, pack your droid and bring it with you on your next visit to Black Spire Outpost! There is an area near the restrooms where there are abandoned droids, and R2QT was very active there! It is a little hard to hear the droid noises, so you might want to be sure to be carrying it in your arms and not in a backpack.

May the Force Be With You,
