I wanted information about the Family magic tour at Mk. What age is recommended for the tour?. My daughter is 8 and I was wondering if she would enjoy this tour. How long is the tour? Do they really look for clues. My DD loves scavenger hunts at home.

    Hi Stacey,

I've taken my daughters on the Family Magic Tour twice, most successfully when they were ages 6 and 9 - so your daughter is right in the sweet spot of the age range. This is one of the few tour-type experiences at Walt Disney World that welcomes children and, in my opinion, it's one of the most reasonably priced tours. The tour typically lasts about 2 and half to 3 hours.

The tour does take the form of a treasure hunt. There is a map and questions to solve. Additionally, there are some silly tasks to perform. An example might be walking through a small part of the Magic Kingdom backward. There is usually a part of the tour that involves going on a ride (with no waiting). And at the end there is a "surprise" character greeting opportunity.

If you daughter likes scavenger hunts, this would probably be right up her alley.

    Have fun!
