we wanted to go on our first disney cruise (4 day on dream Aug 21-25. For some reason when we enter 5 people (2 adults, 3 children 1,3,5) it does not allow me to pick a balcony room but when I say only 2 adults the room is available. Please help.

    Ahoy, Karina!

How exciting to hEAR you are considering a magical voyage on the high seas with Captain Mickey! A 4-night cruise on the Disney Dream sounds like a wonderful choice for your first sailing! Your sailors will love seeing all their favorite Disney Pals, eating ice cream all day long and wearing themselves out in the awesome youth spaces! It's also a playground for adults with dedicated areas just for you including the Quiet Cove Pool and the District! You will all feel like you've had an incredible vacation when it comes time to disembark this floating destination.

The Disney Dream offers a few stateroom options for a crew of five including the Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom, the Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah, the Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah and the Concierge Suites. Since you are having trouble finding stateroom availability, the category you are considering may be sold out for a family of five or there could be an issue with lifeboat space. Disney Cruise Line's number one concern for Guests is safety so it may be that the particular category you are finding availability for two adults, does not have space for five. Also, Disney Cruise Line does follow certain guidelines on the ship for their youth spaces so the counselor to child ratios are within the set limits.

My best advice is to check availability for another category that would work for your family or to look into another date. Summer is a popular time to sail so you may have better luck with a date further out.

Good luck with your plans, Karina! Please cruise back over if we can answer any additional questions.
