    Going 1/26-1/28. We wanted to eat at Sci-fi dine, but res is at 1 and reserved Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose at 330. I know we won't be hungry yet so I need to cancel one. Since it is a slower time of year is the package really worth it?

    Hi Kristin,

    Fantasmic! is one of my husband's favorite shows! He truly loves the story and all the magic that goes with it.

    I agree that you can skip the package and go to the Fantasmic! show as a standby guest. The stadium is fairly large and holds many guests. All the seats have good views of the show so you should be okay heading into the show 30 minutes prior to it starting.

    As for restaurants, I would go with Mama Melrose Ristorante Italiano over Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. While it is cool to eat in a car and watch movies, the food is just okay. After dining at Mama's last December, it is now in rotation when dining at Hollywood Studios.
