Yoo Hoo, Julie!
So glad you stopped by for a visit here at planDisney! You had me at Blue Bayou! I've had the pleasure of dining at
Blue Bayou Restaurant a few times, it's always a delicious and fun time. The ambiance is relaxing and it's fun to wave "hi" to the future pirates glide by. I count it a privilege as this experience is on many people's bucket lists when they visit
Disneyland Park.
As of January 7, 2024, the restaurant closed for refurbishment, and according to the
website, it should be back open and serving
Monte Cristos within about two weeks! Based on that projection, I can assume that reservations, if available, will pop up for the dates of 2/27/24 - 2/29/24. I did do a quick check and it looks like they are fully booked for those dates. As a reminder,
dining reservations open up approximately 60 days in advance and they do tend to book fairly quickly.
Don't fret though, because even if there are no available reservations on the website or even the day of in the
Disneyland app, Blue Bayou is one of the restaurants that offers
Mobile Dine In Walk-Up Availability. I suggest making your way down to
New Orleans Square once you get into the Park to try adding your party to the waitlist. There's plenty to see and do in the Square, like checking out the progress of the
Haunted Mansion grounds expansion, grabbing Mickey Beignets, and you may spot a wandering pirate by the name of
Jack Sparrow stumbling by!
I hope that you can secure dining at Blue Bayou on your trip, and when you do, be sure that everyone in your party is ready to check in together once you're called to be seated!
Wishing you a swashbuckling good time in February!
Camille
