Hello! I wanted to book a Vacation Package for 2024. After my initial deposit of $200, is there a payment plan to follow or is the balance in full due by a certain date? Also, is it refundable at all? Thank you.

    Hi there, Kayla!

Isn’t planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation the best? I love it when my trip is booked, and I’m at the part where I’m thinking about making my Advanced Dining Reservations. It’s fun to think about all the delectable delights I’ll try on vacation. For instance, my favorite meal recently was dinner at Boma - Flavors of Africa! There are so many wonderfully delicious dishes to try; even my little Mouseketeers, who tend to be picky eaters, loved it!

Kayla, I'm happy to hear you're considering booking a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package. It includes both a Disney Resort hotel stay and theme park tickets, and it also has some flexibility while making payments. After putting your deposit down, you can make payments at your own pace as long as the final payment is made 30 days before your arrival.

Once you make your initial deposit while booking your vacation package, you should see the due date of your payment leading up to your arrival date. This information will also be available in your My Disney Experience account, under your reservation in the My Plans section.

According to the Terms and Conditions for Walt Disney World Resort, the reservation may be changed or canceled up to 30 days before your arrival date without penalty. Any cancellations within 3 to 29 days before your arrival will incur a cancellation fee, and canceling within 2 days of your arrival date would result in the fee of the total vacation package price.

Please note that prices are subject to change, and you may find the Cancellation and Refunds section on the Walt Disney Travel Company Terms and Conditions page helpful.

Staying at a Disney Resort hotel is absolutely magical. The theme parks are close by, you’re bound to find a shop that sells Mickey-shaped snacks, and you get to take advantage of perks like Early Theme Park Entry and transportation to and from the theme parks!

Once you have booked your reservation, I do hope you come back and ask us if you have any questions about your magical vacation. In the meantime, follow us on Instagram and listen to the podcast! My fellow panelists and I share our favorite tips that you may find helpful.

Wishing you an enchanting visit, Kayla!
