    Hello, I wanted to book our room for our October 2016 vacation now. If a future room only discount becomes available will I be able to apply the discount to my current reservation or will I need to book a new room and cancel the old reservation? Thank you

    Hi, Tracey! Walt Disney World Resort does offer great room and package discounts frequently throughout the year. You are more than welcome to book your choice of Resort hotel now if you would like. There is no need to cancel the reservation if a Special Offer is released for your travel period, as you can easily have it applied to your reservation. You can often complete this change online by pulling up the reservation in My Disney Experience, or you can call the Disney Reservations Center at (407) W-DISNEY, or (407) 934-7639. Please note that there may be excluded Resort hotels, room types, or dates. Because of this, many Guests will modify their travel dates or change Resort hotels to fit the qualifications of the Special Offer. Simply call, give the Cast Member your reservation number, and let them know which Special Offer you would like to add. They will be able to help you determine if you are able to apply the Special Offer to your current Resort stay, or if you will need to modify any portion of your reservation so that it can be applied.

    There is no set time when Special Offers on Resort rates or packages will be announced. However, there are many websites that do keep track of released Walt Disney World discounts. Looking over a few of them, I see that Special Offers for fall tend to start arriving around late spring and throughout the summer months. Stay tuned to the Walt Disney World Resort Special Offers page next summer for one that best fits your family’s trip.
