Hello there, Juan, and welcome to planDisney!
It's always nice to greet a fellow Magic Key Holder here and I hope you've enjoyed being able to return to the magic of the Disneyland Resort for a full year. I've thoroughly loved having mine and I especially love how we California Residents can make monthly payments for our Magic Key.
You are eligible to renew your
Magic Key Pass up to 30 days before its expiration date. Please don't let that date pass by because late renewals are not allowed. As of the time of this writing, all Magic Key Types are available for new purchases (except for the Imagine Key) but inventory is limited and we don't know when they will sell out again.
In response to your question, I'm afraid that Disney Gift Cards are not able to be used towards Magic Key Renewals. They may only be used for new Magic Key purchases, as dictated in the
Magic Key Buying Guide. If you are a local, you could always stop by the Main Entrance Ticket Booth and speak to a Cast Member in person, but I know that currently there is no way to use a Gift Card for renewals online.
That doesn't mean that those Gift Cards need to keep burning a hole in your pocket! They may be used throughout the Parks for dining and merchandise purchases as well as on
Disneystore.com. And if you have multiple cards, you can even consolidate them at
Disneygiftcard.com!
I hope that answered your question, Juan. I'm sorry if it wasn't quite what you were hoping for, but I do hope that you get a chance to renew and get to experience another 12 months of the Disneyland Resort! If you have more questions, please feel free to return again anytime. You're always welcome at planDisney!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
