    Will Walt Disney World have any special celebrations for the 100 Disney Anniversary? If yes, what will the time frame be for it? Also, when would I be able to start making reservations for February 2024. I see that isn’t open yet on the website

    You are a person after my own heart and I’m so glad you stopped by with your questions! I love nothing more than celebrating milestones at Walt Disney World Resort, whether they are my own milestones like my wedding anniversary or Disney milestones like the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration. And, like you, I can hardly wait to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Disney in the year ahead!

    Rebecca, while the Disney Parks Blog and D23: The Official Disney Fan Club have shared some of the magical celebrations that will take place during Disney100, we don’t know all the details, but here are some of the special celebrations that have been announced:

    • Starting now, Guests around the world are invited to share their favorite Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, 20th Century, and National Geographic memories using #ShareTheWonder and #Disney100 to celebrate our favorite stories and beloved characters.
    • And speaking of characters, we are already seeing special Disney100 merchandise being revealed at Walt Disney World Resort merchandise locations. You can also find The Disney100 Platinum Celebration Collection right now at ShopDisney.com.
    • The Destination D23 EXPO, The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, will return to The Most Magical Place on Earth at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, September 8–10, to celebrate 100 years of The Walt Disney Company. 
    • And, while the festivities officially begin January 27 at Disneyland Resort, the only other timing we know is that later in 2023, the celebration will come to life at Walt Disney World Resort. And, International Disney Parks destinations will feature new offerings and surprises throughout the year, all leading up to the 100th anniversary of the company on October 16.

    So, Rebecca, I invite you to join me in keeping a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog so we don’t miss a minute of the wonder that is in store!

    Now, let’s talk about your upcoming magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! I see your anticipated arrival date is January 30, 2024. I have good news for you, Rebecca. Disney Resorts Collection hotels can be booked up to 499 days in advance. Usually, reservations this far out need to be booked over the phone, not online.  Calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line should get you connected to a knowledgeable Cast Member who can start booking your vacation!
