Hello and warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Victoria. Thanks for stopping in to ask us this question. Oh boy! How exciting that you are planning to visit the Disneyland Resort for the first time. I'm delighted and honored to take a small part in your planning.
There are a lot of wonderful
Good Neighbor Hotels to stay at near the resort. I've stayed at many of them and they each have their own different benefits. There are Good Neighbor Hotels that indeed have their own shuttle service to the theme parks (some complimentary and some at a cost). When you are searching the Disneyland site, click on "Hotel Features and Dining" and you can filter the results to show which hotels offer transportation to the Disneyland Resort.
If the hotel you are looking at does not offer a shuttle service, there is also Anaheim Regional Transportation (ART).
ART provides shuttle service from a lot of the Good Neighbor Hotels in the area at a nominal cost. I've used ART many times during my visits and have found it to be safe and convenient. It's especially helpful at the end of the night when I'm looking to save a few steps.
I can't tell you how excited I am about your first visit to the Disneyland Resort, Victoria. Make sure to stop by City Hall in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park to get your "1st Visit!" button to commemorate the occasion. There are also some unique rides at the Disneyland Resort that you will want to check out. For nostalgia, I recommend Alice in Wonderland and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. And for your thrill-seeking side, I recommend the Matterhorn Bobsleds, Indiana Jones Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! Make sure to spend some time in Cars Land and Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure. Park hopping is a breeze with just a 5-10 minute walk across the esplanade.
I could go on and on, but I'll leave you with just one last tip. Make sure to download the
Disneyland app before you arrive for a map of the resort, attraction wait times and the
mobile order feature. Oh and bonus tip, you can also use your
MagicBand+ at the Disneyland Resort.
Victoria, I hope this is helpful as you are narrowing down your hotel choices for your magical visit. Please let us know how else we can help as you continue to plan your exciting adventure -
even ask me directly. Sending you all the pixie dust and happy planning!
