Hello John!
Welcome to planDisney!
Christmastime in Walt Disney World Resort is so much fun. I had a chance to be there during the holiday break and found the Parks to be still magical and jolly. It helped extend all of the magical feelings of the holidays even longer.
Walt Disney World Resort used to hold religious services on-property over the years on Christmas Day but last year they did not. I am unsure what will happen this year as it has not been announced. In the past, there were services at
Disney's Contemporary Resort and sometimes it was not announced at all except for a sign near the Front Desk. If you are interested, I would speak to the Front Desk at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel as soon as you arrive and see if the Cast Members know the latest details.
If it is not offered then I suggest these two nearby Catholic churches:
- Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1050 Celebration Ave, Celebration, FL 34747 which is about a 12-minute drive.
- Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe, 8300 Vineland Ave, Orlando FL 32821 which is about a 15-minute drive.
I would also keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as they have yet to announce the details for this year's
Candlelight Processional. It's a yearly tradition where a special guest reads the Nativity story with a backdrop of a choir and live music. It's not a religious service but it is deeply meaningful and a beautiful way to celebrate the season.
I hope this helps and you have a lovely time!
Happy Planning!
