We're going to Walt Disney World in June 2013. We'd like to rent pedal boats - how many people do they hold? Is there a minimum age? My youngest is 6 which seems young to go out alone. Do they provide life jackets/vests? Thanks!

    Hi Sarah,

I have never rented a pedal boat at the Walt Disney World Resort but I have rented at Disney's Castaway Cay and they were fun.

You can rent pedal boats at Disney's Caribbean Beach or Old Key West Resorts. Current 2013 pricing is about $7 for a half hour  and about $12 for an hour. The boat holds four guests.

You need to be 18 years or old to rent a pedal boat and you need a valid license or current Walt Disney World Resort ID which is your Key to the World card. I could not find a minimum age to go out alone but you can ask when you go to rent. You do not need a reservation.

Since you rent the pedal boats at the same location as other watercraft, simply ask for  a life vest if you would want one.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
