I am on waitlist for Riviera Resort for upcoming vacation on 11/8/21- do I need to remove myself form waitlist prior to our trip or will this automatically happen if this resort choice is unavailable ? If so when will it happen?

Welcome to planDisney, Delsie! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question about Disney Vacation Club Waitlist Requests. As a Disney Vacation Club Member, I have made use of Waitlist Requests on several occasions. I currently have two active Waitlist Requests for a few upcoming vacations, the maximum amount of active Waitlist Requests allowed to Disney Vacation Club Members per Use Year.

I am sorry to hear that your Waitlist Request for Disney’s Riviera Resort has not yet come through for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. It is such an incredible resort, and if not this upcoming trip, I hope you can experience a stay sometime soon. When making a Waitlist Request, you select to keep your Waitlist Request active for either 31 days or 7 days before your check-in date. If you have chosen the 31-day option, your Waitlist Request will no longer be active. If you chose the 7-day option, your Waitlist Request will no longer be available on November 1, 2021. You do not have to remove yourself from the Waitlist Request, as it will automatically cancel upon reaching the 7-day mark. If your Waitlist Request does become available before the 7-day window, your reservation will be confirmed automatically, and a confirmation will be sent to you. You can read more about Waitlist Requests on the How to Book page on the Disney Vacation Club website.

I hope you have an unforgettable vacation in The Most Magical Place on Earth! Please stop back by planDisney if we can help answer any more of your vacation questions.
