Hi Diann!
Thanks for stopping by
planDisney, a group of Disney enthusiasts eager to help you experience the most magical vacation possible. I’m so glad that you decided to stop by with your question about using your
Disney Vacation Club Membership, and it would be my pleasure to provide you with an answer.
I love the flexibility of my Disney Vacation Club Membership and the ability to use my
Vacation Points for
Disney Vacation Club Resort stays,
cruises on Disney Cruise Line, and
stays in Disney Resort hotels. To use Vacation Points for a
Disney Collection accommodation, you must first convert them into Reservation Points. The trouble you might encounter when booking a Disney Resort hotel for the same time period using your Vacation Points is that once you have converted your Vacation Points into Reservation Points to reserve a Disney Resort hotel, those points can no longer be used for a Disney Vacation Club Resort stay. You can read more about Reservation Points and how they relate to Vacation Points on the
Vacation Points Overview – Frequently Asked Questions page.
I would highly recommend either sticking with your
Waitlist Request or converting your Vacation Points into Reservation Points for a stay in a Disney Resort hotel. I have experienced good luck with my Waitlist Requests, and I hope you find the same to be true for yours. Whichever route you decide to take, I hope you have an incredible stay and a wonderful time in
The Most Magical Place on Earth!
