I've waited too late? What a rookie mistake! Neither hubby nor daughter have been to WDW & I seem to have missed the hotel (which means night Safari at AK), princess lunch/meal, or opp to meet Merida. Should I reschedule for 2016 instead? Advise!? Help

    Hi Kimberly,
Don't panic-we're here to help! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You of course could postpone your vacation for a year if that makes you more comfortable and the amazing Cast Members at the Walt Disney World Reservation line would be more than happy to assist you in changing your current plans. However, if you're flexible and willing to do a little extra work, you might find that you are able to book your upcoming trip and do most of what you would like to do while vacationing.

First stop: resort planning. If you do not have a resort already booked, call as soon as possible and see what's available. If it's not exactly what you want, consider a split stay. You can stay a few nights in one resort then move to a different resort in the middle of your vacation. I have friends that actually love this because they get to explore and experience two resorts in one visit. This would also allow you to snap up a single night at the Animal Kingdom Lodge so you could participate in the Night Safari. If what you want isn't available, keep calling-I have found that persistence often pays off.

Next stop: Princess lunch or meal. We have two options for this: Cinderella's Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Again, the key here is flexibility and persistence! These reservations often fill up quickly but my advice is to keep calling, even the day prior and the same day that you would like to dine. Sometimes people's arrivals are delayed and they must cancel at the last minute. This may be incredibly difficult to schedule, so if this is very important to you, please keep this in mind.

Our final stop on this whirlwind tour is meeting Princess Merida. Luckily, she is available for meet and greets in the Magic Kingdom during daytime hours, so that should be easily checked off of your list. Check My Disney Experience for details.

Kimberly, come back and see us if you have any additional questions!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
