Is there a wait list for the starlight safari at animal kingdom? For 2

Jambo, Micheale, and welcome to the wildest panel in the jungle: planDisney! I'm not lion when I say we're glad you stopped by, so let's jump right in and talk about booking some seats on the Starlight Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge for your upcoming visit.

This after-dark tour is part of the Enchanting Extras Collection, and you're within the 60-day booking window to secure your seats. To keep the animals safe and healthy, these tours are limited and often book up quickly. Unfortunately, there isn't a waiting list. But Hakuna Matata! I have some tips that might help save the day.

I couldn't find availability for Starlight Safari last year, so I kept checking the My Disney Experience mobile app for openings. I'd check while I was in line at the grocery store, first thing every morning, and voila! One day at a red light, I found the two seats I needed! I hope your persistence pays off as well, Micheale.

Another tactic is to search for one guest. I suspect that parties sometimes decrease in size, so a single seat might be more likely to pop up. You can snag that one, then keep looking for a second. Since seats aren't assigned on the safari vehicle, you can easily sit with your partner.

If you're only able to book one seat, you should see cancellation information in your app or confirmation email. You'll typically get a full refund if you cancel over 24 hours in advance, so you can cancel the single seat. Or maybe you can play rock, paper, scissors to see who gets to go on the safari!

My final tip is to book a dinner at one of the incredible restaurants at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. I ate at Sanaa recently, and the Indian-Style Bread Service was chef's kiss. After dinner, you can enjoy the grounds at Kidani Village, and maybe even see some wildlife from the observation deck off the lobby. Around dusk, Cast Members often share night-vision goggles for guests to use, so you might make your own safari from the Sunset Overlook.

Micheale, I hope you don your pith helmet and brave the wilds on your vacation this spring. If you have additional questions, you can always find me at planDisney! I'd be otterly happy to help.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
