Does the voucher for premium annual passes ever expire? For instance if I bought my passes now, but did not travel until 2018 would the voucher still be valid for that year?

    Hi Rachel,

Annual pass vouchers do not expire until you redeem them at the parks. Not many guests wait more than a year or so to activate their pass vouchers, but I have heard anecdotal evidence that a few have waited as long as five years and have had no problems exchanging the vouchers for annual passes.

So yes, you could buy vouchers now and save them until 2018.

There are a few things to consider:

    - You have to be quite sure that you won't lose the vouchers, otherwise you'll be out a large sum of money.

    - Annual pass prices will likely rise over the course of several years (which is a reason to buy now), but there are also occasional promotions and discounts on annual passes (which is a reason to wait).

    - There's a small possibility that Disney could change the parameters of what an annual pass can be used for. For example, if DisneyQuest closed (I have NO information that this is happening, it's just a hypothetical) then that feature of the voucher you purchased would no longer be valid. This may or may not impact your desire to have a pass or have a specific level of pass.
