Visting 12/26-1/2 @ Pop. Kids 5&8. Does WD offer anything else for New Years for people who don't want to be in overcrowded parks late with kids? Do hotels offer anything? Thanks so much!

Hi Lori, The exact plans for 2012 New Years Eve have not yet been announced, so I can't comment on this year's plan yet. I can, however, tell you that in years past the celebrations were primarily centered at the theme parks and Downtown Disney. For a slightly more low-key situation, Downtown Disney might be less crushing than Epcot or the Magic Kingdom, but you can still expect signigficant crowds. The hotels tend not to have large celebrations in case guests with small children want to sleep. If you want to stay at your resort, you'd be welcome to have your own personal celebration with soda and champagne in your room or down by the pool. Or making a nice dinner reservation earlier in the evening might be a nice way to share the occasion with your family. Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if we can provide additional assistance.
