We are visitng Dec 16-21, 2011 with two 8 yo and two 6 yo. We have been to many of the character meals before. We'd like to try some of the non-character table service restaurants. What are your faves for each park? Thank you for your help!

Hi Amber! Thanks for the great question - I love talking Disney restaurants! We always try to fit in character meals when we can, but have several non-character favourites as well.

EPCOT - So many to choose from. Here are a few we love:
    - Chefs de France for lunch - they have a fabulous prix fixe three course special, and the creme Brulee is to die for!
    - The Biergarten (Germany) is a delicious buffet where you and your kids can get up and dance to the Oompapa band.
    - Teppan Edo (Japan), where the entertaining chefs cook your meal right before your eyes.

    Hollywood Studios
    - 50's Prime Time Cafe is set in your auntie's kitchen, complete with old tvs and clips from tv shows.
    - Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre - your kids will love dining in cars under the stars, watching old movie clips on the big screen.

When at the Magic Kingdom, we often take the boat over to the Wilderness Lodge to eat at the Whispering Canyon Cafe, where they serve up great food with lots of fun activities for the kids.

At the Animal Kingdom, we love both Yak and Yeti and the Flame Tree Barbeque counter service, so we seldom do table service there. We will often hop a bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and dine at Sanaa, which, in addition to delicious food, offers fantastic views of animals.

    Happy dining Amber!
