Hi Kerry-anne! You are getting so close to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I bet your family is counting down the days until you are at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.
While I find the Disney Dining Plan a great convenience for my family, I love the savings that come along with it, especially during special Epcot events such as the
Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. When you look at the menus at each Outdoor Kitchen, you will notice the purple/white Disney Dining Plan logo next to many listed items. This logo is an indication that the menu item can be purchased with a snack credit.
I actually just got back in my room from a day at the festival. I checked out all of the menus and can tell you that all non-alcoholic drinks and food items did have the Disney Dining Plan designation. Some of these menu items were over $5; a pretty fantastic use of a snack credit if you ask me! So far, we have tried the offerings from half of the festival. Our favorites were the Ghost Pepper-Dusted Tilapia from Urban Farm Eats, the “Piggylicious” Bacon Cupcake with Maple Frosting and Maple Bacon Stout from The Smokehouse: Barbecue and Brews, and Gnocchi Parisien a la Provencal and Grand Marnier Ice Pop from Fleur de Lys. I heard many Guests raving about Florida Fresh and Primavera Kitchen, so they are on the list for tomorrow.
I hope you have a deliciously Fresh Epcot day at the festival. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
