    hi moms, visiting the world in oct, do you think we should give the sit down meals a miss in epcot due to FAWF, not sure weather to book Advance dining, also does illuminations still run during this festivel cant seam to find it anywhere ont he calender.

    October is a beautiful time to visit Walt Disney World - we love the weather, the Halloween decorations at the Magic Kingdom, AND the Food & Wine Festival!

    During the Food & Wine Festival, our family will typically book one table-restaurant meal for either a late lunch, or early dinner. This way we have some "down-time" to relax and enjoy some air-conditioned comfort - while having a nice meal. For the remainder of our day, we'll simply find some snacks at the Food & Wine booths - that way we're able to enjoy the best of both the table service restaurant and the festival!

    If you decide to have a sit-down meal or two, I would definitely recommend making Advance Dining Reservations since some of the restaurants tend to fill up quickly!

    Illuminations does normally show during the Food & Wine Festival. It may be that the on-line park calendar has not been completely updated for October yet. I'd recommend rechecking it periodically as your vacation approaches.
