Visiting the week of Nov 22nd. Are you able to provide exact times when the first light show starts at animal kingdom? Trying to pin this down for planning purposes and have only seen vague answers that says at dark

Welcome to planDisney, David. It's so nice to virtually meet you!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is just so magical at night...and it's not often open when the sun goes down. So I'm very happy that you're going to be there to experience it. Not only do I love to watch the Tree of Life Awakenings, but Pandora - The World of Avatar is truly stunning at night as well. David, the ground glows...and so does much of the plant life around you. It's just jaw-dropping!

I know that the answers around the internet are vague, but the truth is, the answer is that the Tree of Life Awakenings begin once it's dark and generally occur every ten minutes. Sunset times change so as long as you are in the park when it is dark and these shows are being offered, listen for the change in music and look out for the beautiful projections to start!

Some of the attractions also take on new life at night and they can offer a surprisingly different experience. My favorite attraction at the resort as a whole is probably Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain and it just feels more thrilling at night. Maybe it's because you don't see everything coming, or maybe it's that the projections and lighting really pop at night, but whatever it is, the stakes feel higher and it just feels faster. Plus, the views from the top of the mountain of the lights and landmarks around the resort at night are truly breathtaking!

David, enjoy one of my favorite parks to spend time in at night. If you have any other questions, feel free to send them my way!

    Beware the Yeti,
    Matt
