We are visiting the week of Christmas and I noticed that one of the water parks is open Christmas week. Is it normally warm enough to enjoy the water park or is the water heated?

The average daily high in late December at WDW is in the low 70s. The water at the parks is heated and this would be considered swimming weather by many people.

I will, however, remind you that low 70s is an average temperature. During any given year, you might experience something much higher or lower than this. I was at WDW during our Moms Panel training in December 2007 and was sweating in mid-80s temperatures. About six years ago I was at WDW during the same week and had to be careful about slipping on the ice on the ground. It's very likely that you will be able to enjoy the water park during your stay, but keep an eye on that forecast.
