I am visiting wdw in 2 weeks with my sister and a friend from church. I am staying on property and have purchased park tickets for me and my sister. However, my friend is an annual pass holder. Does she need to make a park reservation( I have park hop)

    Hi there, Diana!

Welcome BACK to planDisney! It is great to see you here asking another question about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. Your vacation is just around the river bend, my friend, how exciting! I see that my pal Brent helped you link your party of three connected on the My Disney Experience app so that you can share plans, connect your Disney PhotoPass photos, and book Lightning Lane passes together. Now that you have that sorted, let me offer you an answer to your question about theme park reservations

I am assuming you purchased date-based theme park tickets that do not require theme park reservations, or you have already made your theme park reservations for your trip in a few weeks. Your friend with the annual pass may or may not need theme park reservations depending on the dates you plan to visit the theme parks. Annual Passholders will not need to make theme park reservations on Good-to-Go Days. You can see these Good-to-Go Days on the theme park reservation calendar or the Annual Passholder admissions calendar. Theme park reservations are also not needed for Annual Passholders visiting the theme parks after 2:00 PM, except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom. Outside of these exceptions, Annual Passholders need to make theme park reservations for the days they plan to visit the theme parks. You can read more about the theme park reservation requirements on the Theme Park Reservation webpage

To park hop with an annual pass, the Annual Passholder must make a theme park reservation for the first park they plan to visit and enter that first park before visiting another. If it is a Good-to-Go Day or after 2:00 PM (except Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays), they can enter a theme park without a reservation before visiting another park.

I hope this information answers your question, Diana! If not, or if you have additional questions, please come back here to planDisney. We’re happy to help you experience the most magical Disney vacation possible.
