We are visiting wdw the week between Christmas and new years. I understand this is one of the busiest times of year and therefore should get to the parks early to guarantee admission. How early should we arrive?

Hi Kassi! The early bird gets more than the worm at Walt Disney World. I've always found arriving at the parks early in the morning allows my family to experience lots of attractions with minimal waiting in lines. You're right that it's especially important to arrive early during a period of peak attendance levels, like the week between Christmas and New Years Day. I would recommend you arrive at the park at least 30 minutes or more before the stated opening time. That way you'll have plenty of time to proceed through the bag inspection and ticket turnstiles and be ready to hit the rides when the park opens. During the holidays, the parks sometimes open even earlier than stated to accommodate the crowds, so arriving extra early may garner you some additional, less crowded time in the park. On occasion on busy holidays, the Magic Kingdom has reached maximum capacity and as a result late-arriving guests could not be admitted. I'd recommend that you arrive by mid-morning at the latest, but the earlier you arrive, the better.

Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
