David, you had me at "brisket!" I did my residency in Charleston, SC, and developed a love of all things BBQ. Bring on the brisket, cornbread, and ribs at Walt Disney World!
Speaking of ribs, I think cooking your meals is a fantastic way to budget on vacation. We routinely eat breakfast in our Villa and usually cook at least a dinner or two. We love staying at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, and it has four (!) charcoal grill locations! There is a grill in each of the neighborhoods except for The Springs. All of the BBQs are close to the swimming pools, save at The Carousel which does not have a pool.
While there is a fantastic market at your Resort, I've yet to find a full rack of ribs for sale! There are several grocery stores in the Orlando area, but you also might want to consider grocery delivery. There are several options for grocery delivery, including through Disney Vacation Club, Garden Grocer, Amazon Prime Now, and Instacart.
David, you are going to love your stay at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. There is a laid-back ease to the Resort that makes you feel immediately "at home." Also, the proximity to Disney Springs is perfection! We love to walk over the bridge and enjoy a meal at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' followed by pins at Splitsville Luxury Lanes.
chEARs to a delicious vacation!
