We are visiting WDW for the 1st time this March. We just booked our vacation with not many choices left. We are staying in a Garden Suite at the Boardwalk Inn. I have 2girls 7 & 4. Is this a good resort? Is it pretty crowded this time of year?

    Hi Kathryn,

How incredibly exciting to be sharing your first Disney World trip with your two little girls. I am always excited for first time visitors, but when the visitors are children it is even better! Depending on what time in March you are arriving, you will most likely find moderate to above average crowds. The crowds will start to increase towards the end of March as the spring break crowds start to arrive. Be sure to make a list of the things that are most important to your family and do those things first. Even when the crowds are minimal, it is impossible to do everything at WDW as there is so many places to go, things to see and attractions to ride. Given your daughters' ages and that this is their first trip, I would suggest spending a good deal of time at Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom offers the best opportunity for character interaction, rides for young children and the magic of Disney.

Boardwalk is a fantastic choice for a resort. It is one of our family's absolute favorite resorts and in a wonderful location. The Boardwalk is within a short boat trip or small walk to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The resort itself is designed around the Atlantic City Boardwalk and offers numerous shops, restaraunts, clubs and more. In the evenings we like to go down onto the actual boardwalk area and enjoy the free nightly entertainment and the boys love to watch the boats. There is a great pool and arcade and you are within walking distance to the Fantasia Gardens miniature golf course. You can rent bikes for a family adventure around the lake or walk over to the neighboring Beach Club for an ice cream sundae at Beaches and Cream. I am confident you will have a great time there!

I hope you all have a fantastic and magical vacation. Be sure to ask for your first time visitor buttons.
