We will be visiting WDW 10/3 thru 10/11 and have tickets to attend MNSSHP. We have reservations at Chef Mickey's for 8:30 p.m. and will be leaving the park for that and then returning to the park. Can we take the monorail there & back? Thanks!!

Yes. You are welcome to leave and reenter Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party during the event. You are also welcome to use the monorail system at any time. From a logistical standpoint, your plan is fine.

However, from a planning perspective, I'm not sure you're making the best choice. MNSSHP is five hours long. With travel time and dining, you're going to take and hour to and hour and a half out of your party time -- more than 20%. Also, by leaving the park for an 8:30 dinner, you're going to miss some the major party entertainment. The exact schedule for 2009 has not yet been announced, but in years past the Halloween Parade has been at 8:30 (and also at 10:30) and the Hallowishes fireworks have been at 9:30. Your Chef Mickey's dinner will have you missing one of the parade runs and probably also the fireworks. If you have the opportunity to switch Chef Mickey's to another night, I would try to do that. I think a change would allow you more enjoyment of both the party and the character dining experience.
