    We are visiting WDW in 11/09, staying at the Poly. My girls are 4 yr & 15 mo. At this age, do you think we can return to MK after naps, grab QS for dinner and enjoy the park a little more or is it easier to do a character dinner, like Chef Mickey's.

    Julia,

    I absolutely think that you can pull off going back to the park after a good nap, just not every night. My advice is;

    • Plan to go back to the park after naps only every OTHER night.
    • Treat going to a character dinner like an evening at a park. The experience will take longer than you might imagine with a 15-month old.
    • Turn one of your early nights at the Polynesian into a special night for your 4 year old. Have one parent take her to the resort's beach to watch the Water Parade (at 9 pm) and the fireworks if it is not too late.
    • For a night where you are not going to go back to the park, take a pair of boats to get to the Wilderness Lodge for dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe. The restaurant is fun, the food is delicious, and the resort is fun to explore. The boat rides are like an attraction for the girls, too.

    Feel free to send any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
