Hi! I will be visiting WDW soon and have a slight issue - my driver's license is expired, and I have a paper temp ID. I am well over 21 (26 years old). I was wondering if my old ID + my new temp ID will be good enough to purchase alcohol at the parks?

Welcome to planDisney, Samantha! We're glad you're here!

I see you are in the final countdown stage of preparing for your trip to Walt Disney World Resort! About a week before, I usually print out an online packing list so I don't forget any essentials. At the top of that list are my travel documents. You're wise to start thinking about this ahead of time!

Regarding acceptable forms of valid ID for purchases of alcoholic beverages, Walt Disney World Resort lists the following: U.S. State Driver's Licenses, State-Issued ID Cards, or U.S. Military IDs. In your situation, your temporary paper ID and the expired photo ID will likely be allowable at some locations, but I think your mileage may vary (or YMMV, as my kids say) depending on the Cast Member. If you have a current government-issued passport, I suggest bringing it with you as an extra piece of identification (many places will even accept a photo of your passport captured on your mobile device).

Hopefully, Samantha, you plan to spend some time at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! This year, they added a brand new Global Marketplace called The Fry Basket. This booth serves Adobo Yuca Fries, which many declare are the "Best of the Fest!" Pair them with a refreshing Florida Key Lime Lager, and you've got a winner!

Have a magical time, and please write back anytime if you need more advice!
