We will be visiting WDW the second week of January and not sure about the weather. What do you suggest we pack in order to be prepared?

Hi Janet! I'm the type of person who tends to pack everything but the kitchen sink, so my family would probably laugh if they knew I was giving out packing advice! The weather in January at Walt Disney World averages in the low 70s during the day and close to 50 at night. Of course, those temperatures are averages, so it's possible that you could have some days that are very warm and other days that are downright cold. For this reason, I recommend that you plan to dress in layers that you can peel off during the day as it warms up. You'll most likely need a warm jacket, a few cardigans or sweatshirts, some short-sleeved shirts, long pants, and few pairs of shorts to be prepared for the varying weather. The pools are heated, so bring a bathing suit if you'd like to swim, and of course, you must have a few pairs of comfortable shoes.

A week or so before your trip if you visit the website www.weather.com and type "Disney World" into the search box, you can pull up a more exact forecast for your travel dates so you'll have a better idea of what to pack.

You sure are starting the New Year off in a fun way! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're always happy to help!
