Hi! We will be visiting WDW in October, do you think I will need to bring a stroller for my 6 year old? Thanks!!

    Hello Jamie!

Welcome back!  It's always a pleasure to help out a returning Guest to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I have 3 children myself a daughter who is 9, and sons who are 5 and 4 years-old.   I still bring 2 strollers or a double stroller along for my younger children.   Even though they are bigger their little legs still get tired out.   At Disney you will be walking A LOT and even I would welcome a push in a stroller at times if one was available.   My boys do like to walk some and during those times my 9 year-old will jump in for a break or we will park the stroller in a central location and let them walk until they want to ride again.   So yes, I highly recommend you bring along a stroller.  I always apply the rule it's better to bring it and not use it,  rather than not bring it and need it.

I recently purchased a compact umbrella type stroller from a local retailer that holds weights up to 80lbs.   I did this so that my older 2 would have no trouble in it.  It worked out really well and folded up very small so it was easy to transport on the bus system.  You may want to look into this for your little one.  I am so glad I brought my strollers on our trip this past May and will be bringing them again for our November trip.

Thanks again for stopping by.  Enjoy your vacation planning.  We are always ready to lend a helping hand should any other questions pop up.

    Have a Magical Day,

    ~Jen
