We will be visiting WDW in October. When will the hours of operation be available? I am trying to take advanage of the extra magic hours with a base ticket and also need to plan for dining with the disney dining plan. Have I taken on to much?

I don't think you've taken on too much. Thousand of Disney guests do exactly what you're doing every day. All it takes to have a great Disney vacation is a bit of planning, and it sounds like you're in great shape to do that.

Disney has recently adopted a practice of posting calendar information for the current month, plus three months out. This gives guests just enough time to take a look at the schedule before making their dining reservations at the 90 day out mark. You can expect to see the hours and Extra Magic schedule for October appearing in early July.

In the meantime, I would figure out which parks you'll want to visit and which restaurants you'll want to dine at -- basically make the outline of your schedule. When the park hours come out, all you need to do is shuffle your plans so they fit the Extra Magic schedule. You'll be all set to make your dining reservations at 407-WDW-DINE.
