I am visiting WDW 9/26-10/2/09.. no real time to plan. I have a 10year old girl, 7year old boy and a husband in which none have ever been to disney! The only thing that I did plan was mickey not so scary halloween... Do I need to have dinner reservations?

Hi, Melissa!  You are almost able to do your single digit countdown dance!  How exciting is that?

If you want to do any table service restaurants, I can't recommend strongly enough that you try to book a reservation.  Your vacation falls during a period where free dining was offered with certain packages, and the restaurants are probably going to be very busy.  Call as soon as you can, and try to be as flexible as possible, and you may be able to find something.  The number to book your dining reservations is 407-939-3463.

If you cannot secure any table service locations, fear not!  There are so many really good counter service locations at Walt Disney World, you won't have to worry about a vacation filled with burgers and chicken nuggets.  At EPCOT you can taste flavors from around the world at the many counter service locations throughout the World Showcase.  You might enjoy delicious Chinese dishes at the Lotus Blossom Cafe or yummy platter with lamb and cous cous at the Tangierine Cafe in Morocco.

My kids couldn't consider a visit to the Magic Kingdom without a stop at Casey's for a hot dog, but you will also find taco salad, noodle bowls, and ribs at the various counter service locations inside the Magic Kingdom.

Disney's Hollywood Studios offerings include hot Italian deli sandwiches, a pulled pork sub, and a decent Greek salad.  And I LOVE the new Picnic in the Park option at Disney's Animal Kingdom, with your choice of sandwiches or hot rotisserie chicken or ham.  Delicious!

    Enjoy your vacation!
