Hello. My we are visiting WDW next week for Christmas! We plan to spend Christmas Day in Hollywood Studios, and I'm confused about how we can enter the SW land and get to ride Rise of Resistance and Millenium Falcon. Can someone explain?

    Merry Christmas, Stephanie!

We have a family tradition where we spend every other Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort, and I love that your family is doing the same! The Resort is magical all of the time, but there is extra pixie dust in the air during the holidays.

As we expected, The Planet of Batuu is THE place to be! You will be amazed by the incredible land. Since lots of Guests want to experience the intergalactic rides, a virtual queue has been introduced to allow as many people as possible to join the Resistance! Let me walk you through the steps:

-Arrive at Disney’s Hollywood Studios EARly.
-You will be allowed onto Hollywood Boulevard before the rest of the Park opens.
-At published Park opening time (which for Christmas Day is 7:00 AM), you will be allowed to enter a virtual queue via the My Disney Experience app. The virtual line assigns you a Boarding Group time, which will enable you to enjoy the rest of the Park while you are waiting to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
-When your Board Group is up, you will get a notification via My Disney Experience.
-Return to the attraction to experience an intergalactic journey that will blow your mind!

While you are hanging out in your virtual queue, you should have plenty of time to explore the rest of the land. Head to Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run to test your flying skills on the biggest hunk of junk in the galaxy. Moms tip - if everyone is tall enough, the single rider line is a very efficient way to experience the attraction! Once you’ve perfected your flying skills, explore the shops of Black Spire Outpost, where I am sure you will find extra Christmas gifts for the entire family!

    To the spire!
