I will be visiting WDW with a 27 mth old and an almost 1 yr old. Any suggestions for first visit things for both girls and first bday things for my youngest? Her bday will be the week after we leave. Also any recommendations period for girls that small?

    Hi Breanna,

I love first visits to the Walt Disney World Resorts! It starts a tradition of memories that last a lifetime.

With any first visit, I always recommend a less is more vacation. The beauty of a vacation to the Walt Disney World is that it changes but stays the same. Guests can enjoy their favorite attractions year after year but also grow into new attractions as children grow or get braver.

I would recommend buying a Magic Your Way base ticket and just enjoy one park a day. For Magic Kingdom, concentrate on the new Fantasyland. Enchanted Tales with Belle, Dumbo and Small World all make for a magical day. Plus there is the Jungle Cruise and Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin the entire family can enjoy.

At Epcot, Living Seas and Journey into Imagination are favorites in Future World. All of the World Showcase has fun for everyone.

Disney's Hollywood Studios has Disney Junior - Live on Stage! and other Disney Junior characters and shows for your girls to enjoy. Plus my family at that age loved Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Muppets 3D.

Animal Kingdom is a wonderful day with nature and animals.

For a first birthday celebration, a special meal with characters such as at Crystal Palace or Hollywood & Vine will cap off the magical vacation!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
