    DH and I will be visiting WDW in June 2012 for the first time w/our 12 y/o son and 11 y/o dd. What hotel can you recommmend for us?

    Hi Shelia!  How exciting that you will be visiting Walt Disney World this June!My favorite resort on Disney property is the Beach Club Resort! This New England style resort has amazing theming and a great location with easy access to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios.It is an easy walk to Epcot through the International Gateway and the Friendship Ferry will take you to Hollywood Studios. Bus transportation is available to the other parks, as well as Downtown Disney.The crowning gem of the Beach Club Resort is the Stormalong Bay pool, which in my opinion, is the best pool on property! Stormalong Bay, a sand-bottomed pool,is a beachside water park offering 3 acres of aquatic fun!There is a lazy river, a whirlpool,hot tubs, and the most amazing slide on all of Disney property, called "Shipwrecked".There are also pool side games and activities during the day.One of our favorite traditions is spending one evening of our stay at the resort making s'mores at the nightly campfires and then watching one of the nightly movies that is shown on the big screen.You can then enjoy the Illuminations:Reflections of Earth fireworks from Epcot while enjoying the relaxation on your own resort.Dining at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop is a definite "must do" while staying at the Beach Club Resort.You can listen to the classic jukebox at this lively dining establishment while enjoying burgers, sandwiches, and ice cream desserts.Save room so you can order the "Kitchen Sink" to top off your meal!Dining options are limitless at this resort location due to its close proximity to the great restaurants in Epcot and the Epcot resort area.The Boardwalk Resort across Crescent Lake is an exciting area to visit!There are street performers nightly and surrey bikes to rent.Your children will absolutely love a stay at the Beach Club Resort!
