We are visiting WDW in July 09. We have the opportunity to stay in a condo in Orlando much cheaper than it would cost to say on site. Is the savings worth losing the convenience?

    Hi Julie,

I have stayed both on-site (my personal favorite) as well as off-site. When trying to decide at where to stay, think about these key things:

    1. What are the real savings when I add the cost of the rental car with the condo price?

    2. Will I want or need to go back to the condo to swim or take a break from the heat daily?

    3. What are the ages of the touring guests? Little ones and grandparents may not want to stay out all day in a park. Can they get back to the condo without creating a problem for the family staying behind?

    4. Even though cooking in the condo may be an option and will save money on meals, will you want to take advantage of this benefit?

If you can answer these questions, you will know whether the condo is the right move for you. Remember that if you go with the condo option and are driving to the parks, you only pay once a day for parking. Simply save your receipt before you go to the next park.

    Have a great trip!
