Hello! We are visiting WDW in January 2024 & wondering if we can get details on Dining with an Imagineer? Also, we're staying at a Disney Resort, does this mean we can enter parks 30 min early and does it extend to all parks on all days? Thank you!

Welcome to planDisney, Heather, and thank you for this great question. Your Walt Disney World Resort visit will be a fabulous way to start the New Year with a bang! I'd love to help you plan a most magical trip, so let's dive right in.

I'm so excited you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel because the perks are phenomenal. I just returned from a stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort, and my husband and I rode the Disney Skyliner to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios daily! Depending on your resort, you'll have complimentary transportation options, and there's nothing like sitting back and relaxing while someone else gets you home safely.

The other perk you mentioned is Early Theme Park Entry. I'm happy to say you'll have this benefit every morning of your stay at all four theme parks. My tip is to allow plenty of time to travel to the park so you'll be able to take advantage of every second. Prioritize a few attractions, and I'll bet you can mark them off your list while crowds are low.

As for Dining with an Imagineer, I just wanted to let you know that this Enchanting Extra has yet to return. I'm watching the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements, but I do have some suggestions in the meantime.

I took Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour last year at Magic Kingdom Park, and this five-hour walking tour satisfied my fascination with all things Imagineering. I learned many behind-the-scenes tricks and history, so this might be something to consider for your visit.

You can book this tour 60 days before your arrival, and as a resort guest, you can make reservations for up to ten days for the length of your stay. I suggest brewing a strong cup of coffee, grabbing your favorite Mickey mug, and making that reservation first thing in the morning.

My final tip is to check out The Imagineering Story on Disney+. I loved watching interviews with my favorite Disney Imagineers, and I learned so much about the Disney parks around the globe while watching this series. It is a small world, after all!

Heather, I'm sprinkling pixie dust all around so your 2024 visit is full of magical memories. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
