Hi, Erin!
I'm so happy to hear that you're planning ahead for your January visit! And how wonderful that you'll be celebrating two very special occasions!
Disney's PhotoPass service is very easy to use! You'll receive a PhotoPass card (similar to a plastic credit card) from the first photographer who takes your photo. The card will have a unique ID code on the back which you will later use to link your photos to your online PhotoPass account within 30 days of your vacation. You will then have another 30-day period in which to view, edit and add specially themed Disney borders to the photos in your account.
You will find PhotoPass photographers stationed at various locations in the parks, including at many character meet-and-greet spots. They are also present at most character meals. If you select the PhotoPass+ package, you will receive a CD with all of your vacation photos. When you have your CD in hand, you can simply visit your local discount store (Costco, Target, etc.) to have photos printed from your CD.
The following character dining locations currently participate with PhotoPass+: 1900 Park Fare, 'Ohana (breakfast only), Tusker House (breakfast only), Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show.
Attractions include Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest and Dinosaur.
