I am visiting WDW for the first time in 25 years with my family next Feb/March. We are staying in Saratoga Springs and I wondered if anyone could give me their experience on the buses to the 4 theme parks and how long it takes. Our ages range from 3 to 74.

    Hi Joanne,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You must be counting the days until you return to Walt Disney World Resort with your family! I'm thrilled that you will experience the beauty and tranquility of Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, particularly because I just returned from my latest, delightful visit to this fabulous Disney Vacation Club Resort.

While I will begin by saying that this is a very large, sprawling Resort with several bus stops, we have found the complimentary and convenient bus service to be particularly efficient to and from here. Expect your ride to Magic Kingdom Park to last about 10-minutes, travel time to Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios to last about 15-minutes, and give yourself about 20-minutes to reach Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Of course, keep in mind that you could wait up to 20-minutes for your particular bus to reach your stop.

One suggestion that I have to make your use of bus transportation slightly smoother is to request a Villa in either The Springs or The Grandstand Sections of this Resort. The Springs is the very last stop before theme park buses make their way to their destinations, reducing your time on board. Of course, during the busiest times, such as the hour or so before theme park opening, you might find that the first bus to arrive could be full. The Grandstand is the first stop once inside the Resort, which is perfect for the end of a long day of exploration! Plus, it is only about a 5-minute walk between these two sections, making a visit to Quick Service food locations as well as shopping very convenient. Perfect!

Please let us know how else we can help you plan your visit, Joanne!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
