I am visiting WDW for the first time and I purchased Memory Maker. When I meet characters in the parks do i need to let the photographer know that I want them to use their camera first then mine? And do i scan my magic band before or after i take a picture

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kimberly!

I am so glad to see that you purchased Disney's Memory Maker photo package. We just returned from a magical time at Walt Disney World and our Memory Maker was chalk full of 150 photos of rides, character meet 'n' greets and the iconic locations around the theme parks and resorts.

Like you, I also took pictures with my own camera. Each PhotoPass photographer allowed me to take my pictures first then they took their pictures. When they were done, we tapped our MagicBand to collect the photos.

Here's a tip: If you have a second to spare, ask your PhotoPass photographer for a 'Magic Shot'. While it might seem 'goofy' at the time when they are asking you to do interesting poses, you will get a surprise when you view the photos later.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any more questions about Memory Maker or any other aspect of your Walt Disney World vacation please come back and see me.

Wishing you a *MAGICAL* vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
