We will be visiting WDW for the first time in March 2010. Our children are 2, 5, and 7. We want to stay at a moderate, but are having a hard time choosing between the Caribbean, and Port Orleans.

    Krista,

The good news is that either is a great choice. But here is what I would say are the things you should consider when trying to "break the tie".

If you have a budding pirate, then Caribbean is the easy choice. Especially if you are going to pay a little extra and get one of the pirate rooms. But even if you don't, the pool area and the amenities building (Old Porte Royale building) with all the pirate-themed items they sell in the store there will make this an ideal choice.

If pirates are not in your traveling party, they I think that Port Orleans Riverside is the better choice. There are a few more resort-based activities, and the grounds are fun to explore. The other perk that this resort enjoys (and the Caribbean does not) is the boat access to Downtown Disney. This, for me, is the tie-breaker in your decision.

Let me know if this helps!

    Have a magical vacation!
