Hi, We are visiting WDW for the first time 22 July (2 adults and 2 8 yr olds). I am making our dining reservations and we have the Disney Dining Plan - do we need to make lunch and breakfast reservations as well as dinner? Thanks!

    Hi Joann

I would encourage you to make dining reservations for any table service meal that is important to you, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Many of the popular dining experiences, particularly character meals, will become fully booked months in advance. You are traveling at a fairly busy time of the year, so you are likely to encounter restaurants that are full.

If you decide not to make reservations, you should know that the non-character, non-signature restaurants in the resorts tend to have the most last minute availability. For example, I've always been able to walk up for breakfast at the Wave at the Contemporary without a reservation. Conversely, it would be nearly impossible to find last minute availability at the Chef Mickey's character breakfast, also at the Contemporary. Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
